There is so much happening. Everywhere we look there’s a new change, a new crisis, a new UFO or spy balloon spotted in the sky.

People are all feeling the pressure of trying to make ends meet and the financial pressures because the world is literally on our backs.

I bought a big bag of Doritos just last night and the printed price on the bag said like $6.59. Obviously I got them “on sale” because they are always “on sale.” This is just the tip of the iceberg though.

Everything feels like it is spiraling out of control. I don’t know what to make of all of it, and neither do a lot of people.

We feel that just keeping on chugging along is all we can do, knowing that there is so much evil and trouble in the world.

That’s all we can really do, right? Wrong.

We are coming to a place of hardening in the world. The world is going through a “system hardening.”

There is a story in the Bible about pharaoh.

Hardening of hearts is where the trouble really lies.

We can watch the Super Bowl halftime show without shutting it off.

We can tolerate horrible words inserted in music.

We can sit back as AI takes over our world.

We don’t rise up as a community and as a world to fight hunger.

These are just some of my thoughts off the top of my head, but I’m sure you could add to the list of how you’ve seen love evaporate around you.

Where do we start to fix things? We can start by loving our neighbors, strangers, and communities. Start a group that focuses on doing these types of things.

Imagine if people rose up and all donated time and food to help feed the starving people in the world. The end of that story would be that everyone gets fed. The math isn’t hard to do.

The world is coming to a place where real human groups like these will be invaluable. Might as well start yours now.

If you’re feeling the same pressures and instances that I mentioned above, then you still have a soft heart and the desire to good deeds. Don’t let time pass you by (because it goes so fast) without lending a helping hand to those in need. You will be blessed for being a blessing to others.

I’ll leave you with this: If you have two of something and someone else has a genuine and legitimate need for one of those things you have, give them your extra something. You can fill in the blank on what that is.

I do know from my time here on this earth that some things don’t cost anything to give, and go a long way.

Here’s a quick list:

Smiles
Compliments
Encouragement
Open Ear
Shoulder to Cry On
Greetings
Prayers
Spiritual Discussions
Friendly Wave or Nod
It’s good to get in the habit of doing these things. You will start to see things change around you by taking action, and if we all did this stuff, things would probably look different.

Love ya,
