What an exciting world we live in, right? After doing some research, these are some facts I found interesting; very interesting, indeed.
- The beating of the heart from a Blue Whale can be heard from about 1 mile away.
Blue whales are huge and weigh in around 350-400lbs. One can only imagine the kind of pumper a creature that big has to have to propel it through the water.
- Music can fix brain damage and reconstruct memories that have been lost.
They say that music soothes even the savage beast, must fix the savage beast as well.
- Elvis was a blonde.
Apparently he liked the way that dark hair made his eyes look.
- Hawaii has a fruit that tastes like ice cream.
Locals in Hawaii call it the, “Ice Cream Bean.” The technical name for it is inga feuillei.
- There is a type of Jellyfish that is immortal.
The Turritopsis dohrnii jellyfish can return back to its juvenile polyp stage after maturing. It can go on and on like this, essentially making it an immortal creature. It is currently the only known official creature with immortality.
- Bees and wasps can remember peoples’ faces.
That explains a lot. Bzzzzz.
- We always inhale more air in one nostril than the other – then it switches. This happens about every 12-15 minutes.
