Life Lessons - What I Wish I Knew 10 Years Ago
After going through recent trouble, heartache, and disappointments, I realized I am where I am because of my choices. Whether good or bad, there are always thorns in life that I could have avoided if I had known these things 10 years ago:
- Money does grow on certain trees - if you aren’t finding any, you’re looking up at the wrong tree.
- It’s always better to stay silent when you don’t know something with 100% certainty.
- Keep a tight circle of friends.
- Nature heals.
- Vegetarianism/veganism can change your life.
- Don’t be afraid to change your appearance.
- Go after the dream - reality will become that dream.
- You can learn something from everyone you meet.
- Leave each place you visit brighter than when you got there.
- Go outside and stargaze at least once a week.
- Don’t be so narrow-minded - the world is big and full of misleading information.
- Look up. Keep looking up.
- Smile more.
- Time with children is incredibly priceless.
- Memories are forever.
- Make much of the life you’ve been given and don’t waste it.
- Find out your gifts and share them with the world.
- Make peace, not war.
- Choose to do the right thing.
- Pay attention to your dreams at night.
- Look at the signs around you.
- Stay away from things you know are bad.
- Stop killing bugs and other harmless creatures - respect life.
- Ride your bike.
- Hug your loved ones every day.
- Seek God and His mercy - He is most merciful.
That’s my list. Much love. - JT
