First of all… hi! 👋 I’m so glad you stopped in today. How are you? I hope you have been having an amazing summer. The world is so full of wonderful experiences and beauty that it’s hard to have a bad summer.

Well, actually if you have some hard items in life you are dealing with, it doesn’t matter the season, it’s not the best.

You know what I mean though, right?

I remember back to my first blog post. I remember why I started this blog.

I remember the anxiety I had as well.

It was back in 2020. I started this blog in hopes of encouraging others across the world. I’ll tell you about that and my journey in a second.

You’re reading a BLOG now, but we first have to define, dead.”

Is it still available… yes. Can you do it… yes. Is there an audience for you and your voice… yes. Do people still read blogs… yes (you’re here 🫶). Is AI affecting blogs… yes. Will AI be detected in blogs… yes. Can you make money from a blog in 2025… yes! Do you have what it takes to generate good content over and over… yes. Is blogging a long game… yes. Is blogging dead in 2025…

Back to my story. I was an electrician at the time working for a paper mill. It was a good living, but also I had this desire inside to write. Anyone that knows an electrician… they’re usually pretty cool people. 😁

I wrote my first post.

This was BEFORE AI was a thing. I typed it on a keyboard with those long travel keys that clicked – you know the ones.

I was nervous to publish it, but I did.

Then I published another.

Then another.

Then some more.

Then I DELETED my entire blog.

Actually, I deleted it and restored it over 90 times in the course of 4 years… maybe more.

Why?

I was fearful.

Just like you may be. It’s hard to put yourself out there knowing that the internet remembers stuff like forever.

Imagine this. You’re walking down the beach back and forth every day. Your footsteps are there forever. You take the same path which is the straight and narrow road.

You don’t turn left or right and get tempted by sin or things that could harm you. As you walk that path, you know that if you stick to your previous footprints (which are inherently good) you’ll be just fine getting to your destination.

Actually, you’ll feel good about it knowing that you always did the right thing… not to get puffed up, but to know that anyone that checks your tracks over the years of you traveling back and forth down the beach will probably say, “Hey, this guy / gal has kept it clean.”

Do you know what I mean by this? If you are ALWAYS posting something that you could read in front of a crowd, you’ll feel OK with your tracks.

This carries on to social media. Be aware what you like, what you comment on, and what you say online – especially if it is tied to your blog. You don’t want to have a blog post go “viral” and then people call you out on it.

Stay to the same foot path in the sand. Write quality stuff. Help people. Share your wisdom. Use your gifts. Avoid AI usage and be REAL!

Blogging is not dead in 2025, but you can kill yours if you compromise on your integrity.

If this post helped you or encouraged you, please share it along to someone that needs the encouragement to start today.

Love ya.

Your Best Friend Online,

JT
