Let’s face it. We will all pass someday. It’s not something that is talked about a lot, but can really be an encouraging thing in this life if you dive a little deeper.

The way that warriors trained in the past, is they focused on death. They focused on death for the purpose of making the most out of this life. What does that mean? It meant being strong and courageous knowing that life could cease for them today, tomorrow, next week, next month, or next year. So, they made valiant efforts on the battlefield and did things that a normal person could not handle.

Can we apply this mentality to our lives today? Yes!

If you live everyday knowing that this life could be over anytime (which a lot of us seem to brush off or put it in a quiet place in our mind), it would motivate you to:

  • be in a constant state of repentance
  • focusing on doing good deeds
  • seek out ways to do charity
  • seek out opportunities to earn money and provide a inheritance for your family after you pass
  • ensure that when you pass your family has ease in practical ways

This is a good thing. It is said that death is the ultimate equalizer.

We all came into this world the same way, and we all enter into the hereafter the same way.

Some practical things we can do to ease the transition for the ones we leave behind are:

  • have a list of passwords stored somewhere (bank accounts, email accounts, etc.) to make it easy for your family to access after your passing
  • prepare a will
  • find a place for your body to be laid to rest
  • start stuffing some money in an envelope for your funeral
  • work as hard as you possibly can to earn money in this life in order to pass along something
  • pay off all of your debts
  • keep your living spaces clean and free of clutter

I hope this helps you get your mindset thinking like a warrior. Here’s to today, and to the hereafter my friends.

Love ya,

JT
