Phew. I finally beat it. After feeling sick two days before New Year’s Eve, getting tested with a Positive COVID-19 test result on the day before New Year’s Eve, I finally beat the virus. God helped me and was my ultimate cure.

Before I get to the next part of this article, I want to share some things I did along my COVID journey.

Slept… a lot
Drank plenty of fluids
Drank plenty of blended fruit shakes from my blender
Had an Emergen-C drink every morning
Caught up on my personal inventory and cleared-out my headspace
Drank a pre-workout twice every day (just seemed like it gave me a physical and mental boost)
Felt my body rise up to the challenge of beating the virus
It wasn’t fun having COVID. I was among those that thought it was a fake virus. I am here to tell you, it was definitely not fake, and could have taken me down worse in a split second. Like I said above, God healed me and chose to allow me to live another day.

COVID-19 was one of the best things that has happened to me in the end of 2020, and the beginning of 2021. It has helped me to realize that life is very fragile. Literally your whole world can be turned upside-down in an instant, as many have experienced over the past year of the virus.

So, now what? As cheesy as it sounds, I realize that I have been given a second chance at life. The little things in my life that seemed like huge problems, now have vanished out of my head. The bigger things I want to change in life, seem evermore possible, and I am going after those changes with more muscle than ever before.

I’m going to be holding my loved ones closer than ever before. I’ll be putting down my phone when someone is speaking to me. I will go out of my way to say hello to strangers. I will look for opportunities to serve others. Where there are financial and charity needs for others, I will meet them to the best of my ability. These are all of the things I should have been doing all along with excellence, but I have been falling short over the past year. However, It’s a new day for me now.

I’m not sure where this virus came from, but I count myself very lucky and blessed to be among the survivors of COVID. If hope you are reading this, I hope you don’t get it, but at least I do hope that you wake up tomorrow and say, “Behold, Another Day,” and take charge of your life like never before.

Here’s to 2021 my friends. – JT
