When was the last time you walked near a stream?
I don’t mean something streaming on the internet (LOL) but a real live water stream out in nature… when was the last time? Got the picture in your head? Great!
Imagine that you were part of that water.
You’re flowing down the stream into a much larger body of water.
That body of water is your end goal.
When you come up to rocks (as the water), you swiftly move around the rocks, right? You don’t tend to bounce off and keep bouncing off – you simply move around the rocks.
Those obstacles in your way are only obstacles. They are not stoppers.
One thing you definitely wouldn’t do as water is hit the obstacle and run the other way, right? You have no desire to travel back uphill where you came from. You’re heading to your goal.
If you can take some of this simple concept and apply it to your goals in life, it will help bring clarity to any situation.
For instance, I was recently given an opportunity to take on a huge roll at a new company. My obstacle was getting in there, starting the new job, learning the product, learning the landscape, and a ton of other things.
Those things could have made me stop and turn back to my old role and old profession. My goal is not that. My goal is to perform like a champ for my new company, bring my new employer an abundance of sales, and also making some great commissions in return. That’s my goal.
Here I am, almost on the other side of those obstacles. I am on the way to my goal.
Take the path that gets your around those rocks and hard spots in your life. It will always be worth it.
Also, don’t forget to pray and keep God the center of your life.
I believe in you and that you have the ability to do great things.
Love ya,
JT
